The Restoration Of A Nation

America has become a country of hate; hate fueled racism, that began to reawaken the day Barak Obama was elected President of the United States. When he was elected there was outrage amongst a certain group of people. The haters set out to destroy our new President from day one, and did everything they could to get him out of the sacred White House; they vowed to see him fail. It wasn’t because of policy, or what he stood for, which is what some people claimed. It was plain and simply because he is a Black man. America turned against herself, but if you destroy the head you destroy the body.

Propaganda

The Republican (Tea) party was the driving force behind the toxic and incendiary propaganda that began to spread. Donald Trump, Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh ignited the spark and fanned the resulting flames of hatred and racism. They spread lies knowing average Americans would never check facts. They got the right people to spread their propaganda (Hitler used propaganda), they used strategic and repetitive dialog, understanding how the human psychic works. If people hear it enough they will begin to repeat it, believe it and live it. Fake news, fake news, fake news.

Propaganda is defined as any organized or concerted group, effort, or movement to spread particular doctrines, information, etc. Doctrine is defined as that which is taught; a principle, or body of principles, in any branch of knowledge; tenet; dogma; principle of faith. A principle accepted as authoritative.

If a person who is regarded as respectable or authoritative makes a statement or takes a stand, then it must be fact. We gravitate towards people who share our beliefs. Media outlets such as Fox news served to drive the agenda and social media gave voice to whomever had an opinion. We listen to the news source and the voice that validates what we believe. The news sources slant the news toward the message that the driving force wants to deliver. And that is how Donald Trump came to be President of the United States.

If My People

So how do we overcome the hate that has reared up in this country? We can overcome with Love. I know it might sound corny, but it’s true. Love is such a powerful force, much more powerful than hate. There is a great force that is behind Love. We have to first not hate the hater. If we hate the hater then we are just as bad as they are.

It takes courage to be able to Love in the face of hatred, but there is a reward to them that Love. Now, I’m not saying that we should go up to a group of hateful Proud Boys talking about “I Love You”. But let Love be our driving force when we deal with the difficult people that we encounter. Don’t be so quick to be angry, contentious and confrontational. Don’t put out the same energy that they are putting out. Maintain your integrity with temperance, dignity, and humility.

Draw from the Love energy that is within you (God) and let it be your guide. Love has become a lost characteristic of human beings. But we were created to Love, we were created out of Love. Those of us who are Christians, know that we must love God and each other, especially the unlovable. If we only love the loveable then we are no different then those who are not of the family of faith. And we know that non-believers are the first to notice when we are not being who God has called us to be.

The Power of Prayer

The prayer of a believer is powerful and effective. We should begin to truthfully examine our own lives and make necessary changes and adjustments. Then we need to pray earnestly, with no thought to our own agenda, but seeking God’s will for this country. God will answer our prayers, triumph over the enemy and restore the nation. So Love and pray and watch and see the restorative power of an almighty God. He Is Able!
